Year 10 Leisure and Tourism students visit Legoland

In September, Year 10 Leisure & Tourism students visited Legoland Theme Park in Windsor as part of their unit on Customer Service. The premise of the visit was to find out as much as possible about how Legoland treat their customers in terms of employee/customer service and customer provision. We set out by minibus and after a pleasant journey arrived at a fairly empty park. The student’ first task was to complete their customer service questions and find out as much as possible from the park staff. This involved asking questions of all types of employees and gauging the response; finding guest services and asking about their role and assessing the quality and quantity of signage in and around the park. Once students met their deadline then they were free to enjoy the park rides! The fact that we visited during school time meant the park was very quiet and queue times were minimal. This meant that students got to go on all the rides they wanted to and in general had a fantastic time. They behaved impeccably and have since found the visit tremendously helpful to their coursework. Thanks must go to Adam Webster, Suzie McCallum and the students.
