CHICHESTER UNIVERSITY TRIP

CHICHESTER UNIVERSITY TRIP

On Thursday, 5th of June Mrs Collyer and Mrs Cooper had the pleasure of taking 9 fabulous students to Chichester University’s School of Nursing and Applied Health.  Students were spoken to by James who is now a lecturer on the Nursing degree, but used to work as a Mental Health Nurse, Dan who is former A&E nurse and Josh who is a 2nd year Physiotherapist. All 3 gentlemen gave them an informative and engaging talk about day-to-day study and university life while studying to reach registration in those professions. Students then had the opportunity to use their immersive simulation suits that trainee nurses uses as a significant part of their early training. All students behaved impeccably and got to see a smaller university campus. These courses are based on the Bishop’s Otter Campus in Chichester and with approximately 6000 students attending lectures are set at 30 students maximum, which can give a more personalised experience for a lot of students. #futurecare #futurenurse More detail can be seen on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=33xvnQ762Lk or direct from the university website on https://www.chi.ac.uk/nursing/?utm_source=google&utm_campaign=HL_openday...
