STEM CHALLENGE

On Tuesday some of our Year 8 students took part in the IET Faraday Challenge Day at the Gatwick Stem Centre and we are delighted that one of our teams won this stage of the competition!  

This is an annual competition made up of one day events, with the winning team from each day being added to the national leaderboard.   The top teams from this leaderboard are then invited to take part in the National Final to compete for a cash prize of £1,000 for their school.

YEAR 9

On Tuesday we were pleased to welcome the Young Green Briton Challenge to work with our Year 9 pupils.
Building on lessons in Geography, the pupils worked in small teams to develop solutions to sustainability and environmental issues.
Post workshop, there will be an opportunity to refine ideas before a winning team is chosen via a Dragon’s Den to represent Imberhorne at the National final in July!

To celebrate la Journėe Internationale de la Francophonie, Year 8 students considered just how many French words there are in everyday chat and then challenged themselves in groups to build the tallest Tour Eiffel

YEAR 10

Nikolas Goudinakis represented Imberhorne School at the 'British Schools Judo Championships' in Sheffield, where he won a bronze medal in the Year 10/11, under 66kg category.
